Join KCK for the First Annual Anchorage Paddling Film Festival, bringing the best of the National Paddling Film Festival to local boaters. On Monday April 25 at 5:30, The Bear Tooth Theatrepub will feature seven films that capture Alaska's broad array of boating – women whitewater paddlers dropping into the abysss, a short on the joy of bringing our youngest paddlers into the sport, a sea kayaking adventure along the entire Aleutian Island chain, a whitewater carnage compilation, a Grand Canyon river running adventure that highlights the history of Colorado River conservation, and a multi-sport Arctic trekking odyssey across Canada's Baffin Island featuring sea kayaking, whitewater kayaking, and backpacking. Proceeds from this fund raiser will be used for local water conservation projects.
