I'm thinking of booking a trip with these guys next August for silvers.
Anybody ever use them or have any feedback?
To be fair, the fishing part was fine, it was the tying of the stringer part he screwed up
If you do a little digging you can do better. A good place to start would be Rainbow Bend or Katmai Trophy Lodge. Both places are top notch from my personally experience and watching how people operate on the river.
Thanks guys. K-fan, thanks for the suggestion. When you say "better" what do you mean? I checked both those places out, and both are considerably more expansive.
I'm assuming they fish the same waters, so is the accommodations, food, or personal you're referring too? Because really, the accommodations or food are a distant second to the fishing to me.
I did a few days of fishing in early June for the opener (2009?) before their outfit was fully up and running for the season. Got a boat and a small cabin(no running water) for a great price. Couldn't have done it better but I already knew many of the fishing holes.
Its not really that hard of a river to figure out, and in most cases guides will help you out with information on the river. But if you want to fish above the lake in the smaller streams it might be more difficult and a little harder to get people to talk. The river over all is a very nice place and there is excellent fish to be had. IMHO whatever you pay the trip is worth it.
