    Alaska Guides Should be Residents....

Okay let's try to keep this relatively civil. This is just my personal opinion...shared by other fishermen but definitely not by guides I know and I am not sure why. It seems since the fish belong to all Alaskans that anyone making a specific living by using our public resource should be a...

    Nushagak River in mid August.....

Just returned from a family vacation in Montana and found my niece's husband, with his father and brother, had booked a trip on the Nushagak River at Koliganek in Aug, 2009. They asked me if I knew anything....said I would ask all those "well informed" fishermen online. Does anyone know the...

Maybe a little discussion on the subject could give some of us a better understanding whether this is true or not. My basic belief at age 51 and having fished since I was 5 and flyfished since I was 16...

    Flyfishing up the Valley Friday....

Kings are dropping eggs now in the valley streams off the Big Su. Spent several hours Friday up there bouncing beads down the river and caught and released about 20 rainbows...up to 23 inches. Lost one that was probably in the high 20's....jumped and threw the bead back in my face. I seemed...
