to piss it off???
& Gray skies aren't bad, neccessarily, it helps with lighting, & makes pictures look sharper...& you don't need a filter with gray skies...Sure a nice blue background would be nice...but hey, take what you can get...

Grey skies produce much bolder colors / contrast, sunlight is harsh and flat (especially @ noon) !!
