  • .44 mag lost in soldotna

Last week of May I was in soldotna and laid my .44 mag ruger black hawk revolver with a 10" barrel on the rail of my truck. I live couple miles outside of town and remembered soon as I got to my driveway. Turned around and backtracked to where I was parked. Never found it. I am willing to pay a reward if anybody has it an returns it. I'm sure somebody found it as I was in a parking lot and it was on drivers side so would not have fallen in ditch if it did make to highway.

Dang. I've heard plenty of these stories. I know a guy who drove down the Sterling with a .357 laying on the back bumper. It was still there when he finally remembered and stopped to check. Plenty of binoculars have exited the roof of vehicles. I know a guy in Wa. who had 2 rifles leaning against a pickup, and drove off. Ran over one of them.
Hope you are reunited with your .44

Report it stolen to the cop station. If anyone calls it in or trys to pawn it you should be able to get it back.

But it wasn't stolen. Big difference.

I did make a report to soldotna police, I told them what happened. Thought possibly whoever finds it might report it. No such luck.

            I tried to rep you.

Reporting it it stolen could be negative to whomever finds it.
Hopefully OP gets it returned. Hopefully we all learn from this.

If I found it, you would have it back. I don't understand someone who could just keep it knowing it wasn't theirs.
