  • Made in the USA!

I thought I'd start a sticky here of links to companies who make MOST or ALL of their outdoor gear right here in the good 'ol USA. Please add any that you know of. I fear it may be a relatively short list.

Here are a few to get us started.

    MSR - http://cascadedesigns.com

    Western Mountaineering - http://www.westernmountaineering.com/

    Kifaru - http://www.kifaru.net/

    Mystery Ranch - http://www.mysteryranch.com/site/index.html

EDIT: Disclaimer...I'm gonna mod this thread heavy and delete/modify/edit any posts that don't contribute to the info of the thread. Don't take it personal. Perry

A gun is like a parachute. If you need one, and donít have one, youíll probably never need one again

          Most "Cottage" Backpacking Equipment

Many of the smaller "cottage" UL backpacking companies design and sell their products that are handmade in the US. These include, but are not limited to:

          - Western Mountaineering (As Snyd mentioned)
          - Mountain Laurel Designs
          - Henry Shires Tarptent
          - Feathered Friends
          - ULA Equipment
          - Gossamer Gear

          And the list goes on...

Ibex loden jackets are made in the USA as well. They are a steal if you can find them on sale.

            Coopers are made in Montana.

            Sincerely,
            Thomas

I saw a news story here in Kansas that talked about local manufacturers and they did a bit from the Coleman factory in Wichita. I don't know which or how many items are made here (it looked like they were making coolers in the background on the newspiece), I am sure that somebody will set me straight on Coleman products not made here.

Coleman is a mixed bag now days... some of their stuff is still made here, some not. At one point I found a website that broke down their product line by country of origin- I'll post if I can find it again.

I guess somebody better mention Nosler Bullets

Fine Stuff if ever there was, easy to buy US in that category
there's probably a bunch of US bullet manufactures but that one I'm fairly sure of
