  • Kodiak Kings, 2016

Weather's been tough, haven't been able to fish as much as I like to and work's been keeping my leash pretty short. But got out Saturday, beautifully sunny out, turned everything loose Sat, 4 kings boatside and lost another, got the 1st coho of the year and 2 halibut. Then went looking for a yelloweye which we didn't find, but lots of rockfish, and a ling all released. Little Colin helped his ma with the first one of the day. Went back out this morning before the weather turned to crap again, released one more nice 20ish at the boat and dropped another one that just didn't quite hook up.

Abel how late in the year do you run charters? I'm often looking in late October and November.

I'll keep that in mind, often my clients tag out early and we've looked for charters but everyone's outa the water. Halibut/lings around then?

Ya, halibut start moving deeper, but the lings are right where they usually are.

$325 a head normally, $1200 for the boat normally. But that time of year, depending on what weather allows....

Got it....lol clear as mud right! Kodiak weather, gotta love it. So if only two of us would you need to boat rate or charge per person rate?

Saturday went out with Chaz for his return to Kodiak. Hit 5 fish but a little eaters of about 15lbs. Sunday was bumpy out, but first fish in the boat was 35. Man I love Kodiak Kings...Click image for larger version
