OK, so planning on driving the ALCAN with the kiddos this summer, never taken them before.....do they need passports? I will have mine, and have their birth certificates...have gotten conflicting information on this, wondering if anybody has recent relevant experience....thanks!

Entry into Canada: Canadian law requires that all persons entering Canada carry both proof of citizenship and proof of identity. A valid U.S. passport, passport card, or NEXUS card satisfies these requirements for U.S. citizens.
Children under 16 need only present proof of U.S. citizenship.

We are doing the drive this summer and we went ahead and spent our Christmas money on Passports.
