Hi I just purchased a Sako 6ppc and I can't find a lot on the history of this rifle. The action and barrel are in white (not stainless) its a heavy barrel with varmint style wood stock, the barrel is marked 6mm ppc, the action is marked SAKO PPC and the serial # there is also 2 holes drilled in the trigger guard for making trigger adjustments, and the trigger is awesome. It came with Wilson seater and neck sizing dies marked ppc OVERSIZE, plus a bore guide and 1" and 30mm rings. I can't see any signs of the action ever being blued is it possible it came that way? Thanks Bob

I did some googling and the pics I see of the factory Sako 6ppc's are definately blued
So long as the bore is in good shape, it should be a hummer. Those that are successful in Alaska are those who are flexible, and allow the reality of life in Alaska to shape their dreams, vs. trying to force their dreams on the reality of Alaska.
If you have a tenuous grasp of reality, Alaska is not for you.
