  • 270 Hornady in 375

I have some 270 grain hornady spire points I want to shoot out of my 375 ruger alaskan. I would like to use RL15 as that is what i have on hand. Anybody have any good recipes? Also what will my C.O.L be? What kind of velocity can I expect? Thanks for any information.

That's all I used in my 375 Weatherby Mag... Good ol 270gr hornady with a good stiff load of IMR 4064 and cci 250 primers. Killed big ol cow elk with that load...

I use RL15 exclusively in my 375 H&H with the Hornady 270 grain bullets. I personaly prefer the RN to the spire points, so if you end up with some blunt ones that you want to trade for pointy ones, let me know!

I cant remember my load, but its right out of the Hornady manual, and I have never shot any over the chrono yet, so dont know the velocity...

        good load

I got a good load yesterday morning. 76 grains of RL 15 behind the 270 sp, right at 2650 fps. 1/2" group. I am very pleased!
