Ether are fine, cast or copper from Colt or ACP ammo. Hard to find cast 45acp. Watch the lead fowling when going from lead to copper because copper won't fit down the fowled barrel as well as the lead . . . best to clean well after shooting lead much before you stick some jackets in there.Leave a comment:

45 ACP in Colt SAA
I just bought a pair of Colt SAA with the 45 LC cylinder, and 45 ACP cylinder. Are Jacketed rounds that you normally find with 45ACP ok to shoot through the Colt pistols, or is it a better idea to only shoot cast bullets?
