  • Springfield TRP Operator (1911) 10mm Break-in Chrono results vs Glock20

I managed top find a 1911 Springfield TRP in 10mm and started the break-in today.
I decided to also shoot the G-20 Slim Frame Glock to compare groups and muzzle velocities.
I was leaning my arms against a bench for 25 yard groups. The Chronograph was about 15 feet ahead.
My old eyeballs see far, but not so swell on front sights anymore.
I had a total of 3 fialure to go into battery with the new Springfield which is very tight right now.
    Zero malfunctions with the G20.
My notes are not cutting and pasting here very well.

Thanks for the data. I've had the same experience with accuracy from the V Crown and just about every loading from HSM but in different calibers. The V Crown moves but isn't very accurate at much of any range (rested).

It would be good to test the Underwood loads with Extreme Defender and Penetrator bullets from Lehigh.

The Glock is a 4 and something inch while the 1911 is a 5 inch. But remember all the Glock hype about high velocities due to their barrel coating and polygonal rifling...
The only time i have seen V-crown group worth a darn is in my old 9mm Browning P-35 Highpower.

From what I see here, I would stick with the 2 Federal loads. they seem perfectly adequate.
