Good for him. I’d like to see that country some day myself.

Dealt with plenty of fame and fortune types including the daughter of a famous cigar smoking POTUS. USCG on high alert in the local waters, the whole bit. Doubt she asked for it. Generally nice enough and just want to be treated like a regular human being, no more no less. Don Jr. ditched the Secret Service for his Canada trip last Fall, of course many of those who didn’t vote for his father were outraged. I thought it was a good idea, saved some taxpayer $$$$$.

I kinda wonder if he needs some form of secret service escort for something like this?
Especially since Hillary won that district by 20 points.lol
Would be one lucky guide to get a famous client like that.
Could really get them some good publicity if Jr. bags a good one!

When have I ever stated that other political parties do not support hunting or fishing?
Could you point out where that was mentioned in this thread?
What gets me though is that even though we have a pro hunting/gun president the two most liberal minded members here still cannot help but dismiss those attributes.
There's a lot of trophy hunters out there of all political parties. That doesn't make them all bad.
As long as they follow the law 100% that is.
So Donald Jr. is a trophy hunter. How many Alaskans do you know who harvest brown bears for food or clothing?
If not for food or clothing then aren't all those brown bear hunters trophy hunters?
I still think it's good that Donald Jr. is supporting hunting here in Alaska and wish him a successful hunt!

You didn’t really want to respond... but you just couldn’t help yourself. You should have listened to your inner self. Only you and that other guy above could surmise that someone was “implicating” that ONLY one political persuasion supported hunting and fishing.
Talk about “asinine”.... what does Hitlary winning there by 20 points have to do with anything? But if it makes u feel proud.... ok. Maybe she’ll win there by 25 points come 2020.
Sure am looking forward to the next 4-5 years! Kind of wondering when some folks in this nation are going to figure out that the mass media is 90 percent controlled by 6 conglomerates and they continue to feed u lies.

No surprise to see the first couple of respoders and their replies.
I'm not totally sold on the wilderness bill with all of its provisions but it passed sooo... And i'm certainly not a believer in Murkowski being good for AK.
But as long as Jr. is following the law as a hunter I think it is a positive.
If he convinces his father to stay pro hunting what's wrong with that?
    Same with Ted Nugent.
Yes he riles up the anti's he also riles up the hunters to get out and vote. Always a good thing IMHO.
And Ted's a big enough name that he can get large numbers of the pro hunting/gun crowd to do that.
While Ted did have a snafu up here, from what I read, it wasn't a deliberate act.
Rossi flat out broke the law so I can't say I support that.
Regardless there's a lot of trophy hunters out there.
While I'm not one of them if they're following the law 100% and supporting the pro hunting cause can we really complain?
With all these anti's against us a few more for our cause can't be such a bad thing right?

Us regulars here know your political colors already. You need to stop reading the rags you’re reading...fake news, you know!
I’m going to enjoy the next 4-5 years. I hope you do as well.

Yeah. He ranks right up there with Ted Nugent and Corey Rossi.

We already have some great advocates for conservation in DC...like Murkowski with her recent wilderness bill....Junior doesn't seem to be all that thoughtful on these issues...he's a trophy hunter, has gotten nonstop bad press over it...cheer if you want, he's basically a walking gift to the antis....

Love him or hate him I think this bodes well for us hunters.
It is nice to see someone in Washington DC who supports our cause.
I wish him the best of luck on his hunt.
Hopefully his father feels the same about hunting!
