Took a picture of this guy yesterday over by drill site 15 on bp land. Anyone know much about these green collars with a little metal box attached to the front? adfg migration study? Radio transmitter? I saw no number or letters, I've seen this guy solo a couple of times and was just wondering what's up.

Collars on these caribou allow biologists to track the herd which helps to determine herd size and migration routes/timing. Every herd in the state has radio or gps collars on caribou for this purpose.
