  • Too Many Pinks...

On Saturday one of my fish derby ladies pulled in the biggest pink I have ever seem. So big, we thought it must be a silver. My buddie fishing said his boat was doing the same thing. Pinks seemed to be everywhere out in PWS and it was hard not to catch them unless you went deep. The seiners are not catching them as they are too deep for the nets to catch with current water temperatures. I have gone over several large schools of fish that are 150-350' deep. Just sitting there in a ball. Silvers seem small. 6-10 pounds seem average. 12-14 are the big ones. I remember back in about 05 one guy here catching a 22 pounder. Luckily, he had a derby ticket. Silver size just seems to be getting smaller. Hopefully the big ones are still waiting to come in.
