  • Best mods for Polaris Sportsman X2?

So far, I'm planning to get rubber, plow, and heated grips.

    Any other suggestions/must have's?

    How about plows? Any preferences?

    Thanks.

how much plowing you planning on doing? I have a smallish warn utility plow and it does great on my little driveway. If you have 100yds of drive and get alot of snow one of the big monster snow specific plows would probably be worth the added expense. I assume you already have a winch since it isn't on your list.

I want to plow my drive (small) and maybe a couple of neighbor's drives as well (the older guys in the neighborhood).

        luggage thingy

I've got a backrest for my passenger that wraps around into a black plastic hardsider container on the right and left, so it forms a wraparound enclosure with my (the driver's) back forming the fourth side.

This makes the most secure possible way for my little tyke to ride along; he's been on some tough rides and I never once wondered for his safety or whereabouts.

And yes, hot grips. And mudlites; throw away the stock rubber.

My plow is a 48" warn (a small one) and I love it. I looked into larger one and learned that a lot less damage (to the bike, plow mounts, and other things you might hit) occur with a smaller plow. Now my kids love our snow removal task; before, they hated it. Despite a longer driveway, we run out of snow to move before we want to be done ATV'ing so we plow out the mailboxes and sometimes neighbor's driveways too.

The back support sounds nice. Did you pick up the warn plow locally?

Yes, a picture is worth a thousand words; its attached; me and the tyke plowing.

Yes, very locally. I would recommend either anyone else, or doing it yourself, regarding installation.

The best mod would be to trade it in for an ARCTIC CAT!!

As far as a plow install, it should be relatively easy. At least it is on my A/C. Bolt two plates under the foot area and clip the plow to it. If you have a winch, thats the only way to travel...

plow easy, hot grips harder, winch hardest to install

Ya I should have been clearer.

The plow was easy to install even with 10 thumbs, and its the hot grips and winch install that were not well-installed on mine (by the Yam. dealer) - I could have done that well myself but wanted a better install. Oh well.
