  • Where to buy a Ranger windshield or lexan?

Where's the best place to get a windshield in the Anchorage area (Kenai would be even better!) Not particularly looking for OEM. Local glass shop is quoting me $21 per sf for .250 Lexan to do my own. Not sure if that's a decent price or not.

Have the guys at Pen Powersports crack open their wps book and look at aftermarket windshields. They get free freight on anything they order from wps. Going to be tough to beat that pricing anywhere.

        Why not use glass?

Bk is right in my book. Glass is tough to scratch when cleaning mud and dust off of it. Doesn't take much on most plastics to make a mess of them.

Ok so glass it is. I'm figuring on using 1/8" steel for the frame.
Anyone else build their own windshield frame? Pics?

Yes and we build therm out of aluminum using glass for the windshield.
Also an aluminum roof strong enough to walk on or hold more gear.

Thanks for all the help guys and I think I will still go with glass in the future, but for now the problem is solved!
Short version is on C-List down here I found a new in the box-never installed Kolpin Full tilting 2 piece (upper is removable) hard coat Lexan windshield that fits my machine for $150. Cheapest I could find them anywhere was well close to $450 plus shipping (and most places won't ship.). Retail $550.
Will get me through this year!
