  • Rent me your Snowmachine trailer

I need a trailer to transport my rafts for the summer, snowmachine trialers work great for this.
If you've got a trailer just sitting for the summer, you might as well make some money with it.
I can't afford to buy one this year, but I could spend a couple hundred.
I'm looking for something in the 9x14 range.

    Couple Of Hundred

If you got money for rafts and gas money to haul them.... you better buy a trailer.

I would be wary of lending my trailer just for the fact that pulling it up and down Alaska's highways can be rough on things, especially for an entire summer. Couple that with the fact that someone is not likely going to rent you their trailer for likely less than 500 bucks. I would suggest getting one on Craigslist. For the 500 bucks you would pay someone to rent theirs, you could fork over another 5 and be well on your way to a trailer...

The rafts break down small enough

to fit in the trunk, or the bed of the truck, but its a pain.
Thanks for the negatives, very productive.

I agree, I would go for a craigslist trailer, you would own it and if it broke, you would owe nothing to anyone else.

Here's a relatively cheap option. You could always sell the trailer once you're done using it.....

Another option might be getting a 12v air compressor or somthing like that so you could easily inflate your rafts on the fly if your didn't end up going the trailer route...

I wasn't directing the earlier comment at Hunt AK

You are posting some good advice and I realize you're not trying to be negative.
I can't afford the trailer this year, the rafts we're ordered before my son was born and the wife decided she wanted to be a stay at home Mom. I'm happy that she wants to stay home with the boy, but we no longer have the money to just drop $500 - 1000 on a trailer.
Thanks for the advice, see you on the river

I have a trailer sitting here I'd let you use.
The last guy I loaned it to brought it back missing 18" of the tongue (repair after jack knifing). I would replace the wheel bearings as it has sat for 3 years. It is currently sitting on one flat tire, but it does pump up. I have a spare tire for it.
PM me with your particulars (dates, promises etc) and I'll let you know.
