  • New Tundra 300 carb mount

Thanks to dirtofAK, I just checked where the airbox is connected to the carb. The hose clamp screw was gone and the "box" was hanging down letting unfiltered air, which had plenty of moisture and belt dust, straight into the carb. This is a new machine with less than 20 hours on it. I found the screw in the pan below the engine, saving me a trip back to Team CC.

Do you guys think it's worth taking the machine to the dealer to have it documented? I couldn't tell a difference in the way it ran and don't know when the screw came out.

Crescent Hills, it is worth checking yours. I can post pics if you want.

Here is what it looks like when it is not caught and taken care of:

There are supposed to be grommets in the holes on the bottom!! These studs on the bottom of the float bowl fit in the grommets.

Inspect your boot while you can.

          Hope this helps.

I don't mean to sound bitter, cold, or cruel, but I am, so that's how it comes out.
