  • Trail Report W.P.C. Willow AK. 2/4/09

Another week gone by and the Willow Trail Comm. has put in 325 fleet miles so far in 2 days. Took today off, I am warn out. This weekend is all the neat motor sports are at the Willow State Winter Carinval. For more info check www.waco-ak.org We will be helping out with keeping the tracks in shape!! So the trails are in great shape and we got about 1inch of new snow today and it 10 degrees, and they are talking more snow. The swamps are a blast to ride. Hopefully in the next couple of weeks the new ALASKA (A) trail will be all connected and we can ride groomed trails from Big Lake to past Tapper Creek about mile 128!
I will give you guys a update on Thur. night.

    Update!!!!

Snow snow everwhere! It snow another 3" yesterday and we knock out about 170 fleet miles for a total of over 500 fleet miles this week! Got the Big swamp trail all the way down to the Iron Dog but the wind was blowing and covered the trail. Also put in a trail all the way to connect with the Big Su trail on Rolly Creek Trail. Nice not to have to use Corral Hill to get to the river. Also the Deska River X-over is freshly groomed.
Remember maps are avalible at local stores!
