Nice, hoping to get my mom a used 600IQ soon as she needs one bad. My oldest son is usually her driver on trips to other villages in the area.

13 subsistance areas
I'll have to get ya more specific information, but yes areas are limited.. there is two areas right on denali hwy. There is a larger one off the denali but you have to ride through an area to get to it.. There is a specific subsistance reg out and maps too, i'll see if I can find on web..

You need to contact BLM for the federal hunting areas. Very small percentage of 13 is labeled under federal hunting regs.

Caribou location
Dave,
What a shame on hurting your ankle! That's gotta be a tough to take... new machines, caribou tags... and then that. We'll, on a good note, the days will be longer in a month!
On the caribou in the area, I have to admit, I'm still trying to learn the area's and regs fro the federal subsistance. I know I qualify, but I haven't applied as of yet. I found some links.... so is all of unit 13 open to federal subsistance? Or is it just small area's, mostly to the East? I found some links about it, but I'm still not sure.

I'll know a lot more soon on the animal whereabouts as some friends of mine will be opening the lodge up the week after next! There was quite a band of them about 2 miles to the east of the Susitna River Bridge. I seen probably 20 animals, off in the distance to the south of the highway.
Anyhow, looking forward to hearing back on where the subsistance area's are.
Claude

There is just really no need to strap over the seats. Through the a-arms/spindles in the front and either suck down some suspension or through the skid on the rear (pulling back) is fine.

New machines
Yes they are 2009s. Just picked them up from Polaris Junction last thursday night.. The man at dealer told me to throw strap over seat. Why should I not do that? - dammage?

Thanks,
Dave
