    Why would it be different than the 121.5 signal that was being transmitted from this elt?
    Usually a 121.5 can't be heard over any useful distance without an antennae either.

    Google NOAA and sarsat and elt or any combo thereof.

    Anyway, glad you doublechecked the elt security in your plane.

    I just tried it and no probs..

    Are you using VOR/NDBs or GPS..It really makes a diff bec the God's of flight , the FAA, is suppose to stop VOR function in 2011.
