and, then, "The Jug, or Thunderbolt

Then this Bad Boy, just Massive when up close, not a wonder at all, why they were so hard to take down,
    The P-47 Thunderbolt

(stand yourself next to that Willy's Jeep for scale, on that engine compartment)

and the German Engineers didn't do too bad themselves, Fockewulf 190
man, if you're ever near Chimo, you gotta walk around one of these,
Much Sleeker than in up close, than in the pics,... just an awesome looking Adversary,...

Early War Veteran of Alaska's Shores, P-39

        The P-39 Aircobra,
I've seen a few photos of these on a strip in Kodiak from shortly after Pearl Harbor, so like to think of them as the Original Alaskan Fighter Veteran,

and the P-40 Warhawk, tho the Flying Tiger Teeth weren't bared over AK
        ( I don't think, maybe they traveled thru ?)
But, the Warhawks saw some duty all up and down the coast,
        Nice paint job tho, eh?

Hope you enjoy some of those,

Anybody have anything to add, pics or stories,...
about the Fighters and Bombers that flew over AK ??

I can't get to that link, did you leave any slashes out maybe? or how do I get there?

By the way, That's CHINO, CA, not Chimo, can't believe I mispelled it twice,
