  • ATV accesible public use cabin thread

Thought I'd start a thread on public use cabins that are accesible by ATV. A couple of my favorites are Coloado creek cabin accessed via the Compeau trail. http://dnr.alaska.gov/parks/cabins/north.htm and Lee's cabin accessed from 28 mile Elliot highway. http://www.blm.gov/pgdata/etc/medial...teMtnsMap1.pdf

Both of these trails are high and dry! I attepmted to get to the moose creek cabin about 12 miles past Lee's cabin to no avail..... mud mud and more mud...

    Cmon gents...chime in!
I am serious... and don't call me Shirley.

For those who want a nice easy ride for the whole family, try Eklutna Lake east end. There is a big public use cabin there.

There's also another one about three miles in on the Elkutna Trail too. Makes a nice easy bike ride for the little kids.
