  • Who owns a black atv ?

Who owns a black atv ? Reason I ask is I went by the dealer the other day to put my order in for spring and he said Yamaha quit making the red grizzly they replaced it with black, I think they look "COOL" but how do they hold up as far as visable scratches and dings ? I'm just wondering if I should stick with blue and green they hold up well. I sell all my atvs in Aug. and I want them to still look like new as I think they would sell first (Black)

    Thanks
    Roger

    The black scratches terribly.
We bought a special edition Kodiak for the wife in Whitehorse back in 2002. It was a metallic black and was a Canada-only color.
(The US dollar was kicking the Canadian dollars butt so we opted to save a grand and buy there.)
We noticed even on the brand new machine that the scratches from just wiping it down were going to be terrible.
We took it to Northern powersports in Fbks immediately and traded it straight up for a new camo model which also included a winch.
Coby @ Northern wanted the special model and color.

Buy a camo model if resale is important to you. They can look great after years of use with even moderate care.
