  • Kawasaki Brute Force 650i?

    Pros? Cons?

I'm on the verge of dropping some coin on a new '08 model.

    Any Thoughts or suggestions?

They have a good reputation for power. I am not a fan of their 4x4 system. It requires more maintenance than most. I like the Suzuki or Yamaha 4x4 system...user friendly and no maintenance. Not a big fan of the look either (just my opinion). If you want good information go here: http://www.kawiecentral.com/forums/index.php?act=idx

      Kinda nice

I like my 750I but the 4 wheel drive sometimes doesnt like to lock in right away. beside that like it alot. Went riding in the snow today and yesterday and no problems on 8-10 inch snow covered trails. Tomarrow going riding with a artic cat and a honda so we will see how it compares.

Very good very strong motor and drive system. 4X4 lock not as easy as others. The only reason I passed on a Kawi and went with a Yami instead is lack of dealers in AK. Only one in Anchortown and none I know of in the valley. Fast machine.

After you ride it a few miles write a review and compair it (as fairly as you can since you bought it) to your buddies machines.

If you are not affraid of pegging your fun meter buy it!

All of the machines do somethings things well, The Kaw is not the fastest, strongest, plushest, cheapest, etc. but it does many things very well and you won't be disapointed with it, it is very fun to ride and will work hard for you if thats what you want to do.

I have 2008 spring ATV magazine that has a big bore shootout and after reading it you would be able to make judgments based on which one does what you want it to do best, the Kaw was pick as the overall winner, if you would like my copy PM me and I will get it to you.

Team CC in Eagle River is a fine Kawasaki dealer.

              i see

Don't worry BF750 fans this is an inside joke between an atv rider and a atv watcher. Don't you have to own or in the market for a atv to be on this forum. ha ha

                The way to go

Alaskamoosehunter, I would buy another kawasaki in a heartbeat. I have an 03 kaw 650 prairie and man......what an amazing machine. Its never missed a moose hunt, its pulled a lot of moose out of the woods(some of them whole), its just tougher than nails. The V-twin engine is very smooth and somwhat quieter than my friends honda and suzukis. The only aftermarket parts are the ITP tires and a 3k warn.
