  • 45 Colt Cowboy Ammo--Liquidating for Neighbor with Dementia

Hey all, I am helping my neighbor sell off her husband's ammo and reloading stuff. He has dementia and will no longer be able to enjoy it.
This is kind of a loose count and could increase from here once I rummage and find more.
    HSM 200 Gr RNFP 45 Colt--26 boxes--$40 per box
    HSM 250 Gr RNFP 45 Colt--29 boxes--$50 per box
Herters, Magtech, Ultramax, Black Hills, Alaska Ammo, Wild West Ammo, Fiocchi, Armscor, Winchester, Federal, 45 Colt 250 LFN or typical cowboy profiles--30 odd boxes--$35 per box

There is also a load of 45 ACP and 45 Colt brass, some new, some just tumbled. Every bit of his once or a million times fired stuff has been with easy going cowboy loads pushing the 200-250 grain cast bullets out around 600-800 fps so the brass looks to be in very good shape. At this time I haven't counted or sorted any of that but if I have some hits on the brass I'll get to work on it asap.
Still working on prices for brass.

IF you would like a crap ton of this ammo, please call me and we can discuss pricing for that. This isn't my ammo and and I have to use discretion in offering discounts without
consulting my friend's wife. They are both pushing 70 so don't know the current ammo issues or typical pricing, but she's no fool and could plainly read $45.95 on some of the HSM boxes from wherever he purchased from a couple years ago. 45 Colt isn't cheap stuff even for the "cheap stuff" like buying 9mm or 12 gauge dove loads.
Please bear with me as seeing my friend like this is heart wrenching and really makes a person value the time we have. Thanks.

Mr. Strahan, I'm glad to pay the commissions on this ad, but there's a lot of this ammo and I would like to keep a tally until I have sold say 25% at a time and send money with each 25. I'd prefer to not have to do a separate ad for each box of ammo. Please feel free to shoot me a message if you would rather I do something else. Thanks.

Do you know if these are all factory rounds, or some of his reloads?

This stuff is all factory but I have a ton of his loads I am going to be pulling down because they can't be trusted. All this ammo is tentatively sold pending funds and pickups.

Good idea. If you pull it apart it is still sellable, except the powder. I'd burn that.

My favorite line from that movie.

                Col. Trautman: How's the wound?
John Rambo: You taught us to ignore pain, right?
                Col. Trautman: Is it working?
John Rambo: Not really. Don't take it personal.
                Col. Trautman: Thanks.
