How often do you see a bear?

    I've seen brown bear a couple of times. Once I was in my car and seen a lot of bears crossing the road. I mostly identify them with a slightly above hump above their shoulders.

      I don't see a lot of bears from the road system. When we are off road, in the Brooks Range, we see about one bear a day. While guiding on Kodiak and the Peninsula I have seen up to 28 bears in a day.

        Used to see black bears nearly every day that I spent at my cabin out north before the place had so many cabins. Rarely see one now. In my logging days in S.E. and the PNW it was not unusual to see a dozen bears a day. Had some 'interesting' interactions with them when logging.

          Many bears here, most days in summer they are in the yard. Far too many bears here in this location,
