    JOE:
contact your nearest LDS cannery. there are a couple up there. let me know if can't...i ship you a few cases from ARIZONA. anyone eeds canning supplies shipped, i will do it for my cost and satisfaction of helping.
i have 2 large MASTER CANNER sealers that will do the job. the MORMON member will likely be able to take you to the cannery if he/she goes and takes you as a guest.
or, JOE, i can ship/loan you one of my can sealers. i trust you. it is an older unit that works like a charm.....new retail is $995.00. so we just need to keep track of it.
if you have a friend who is MORMON, they SHOULD be very happy to help....just tell them to keep the B of M if you are not interested. a friend will help....yet a friend will listen to your wishes.
ALL sizes of cans used at cannery are available for empty purchase.
ps: what are you canning and what is your cost of uncanned, bulk item?

Bilbo Thanks for your generous offer. My plan was to get a coupla families together and purchase a can sealer to be used amongst us all. I have one that will do the smaller #2 and #3 cans...well mom does. But want to can some sugar, flour, rice, and powdered milk (to start with) in the #10 cans. My friends moved out of state a few years ago and we have lost contact, I would deffinately take you up on the #10 cans offer. Maybe we can PM on the details.
To be honest with you, I haven't paid to close attention to the price of bulk products here. It's kind of like fuel, when ya need it, ya get it, what ever the price. I did pay $39 for 50# of rice last week.

2dawgs,Contact the LDS at the Bishops Cannery @746-3509 they are located out in the Butte area. They might be able to asnwer some of your ques. I know that they have a place to can all types of things ,I had heard at one time that you did not have to belong to the church to use the place. Would be worth a phone call. Good luck

Sorry fellas, I've been out of town for a few weeks. Three Bears has canning supplys (cans, lids and jars) for the smaller 2"-3" cans. I'm looking for the larger #10 cans (like the mountian house cans).
I've been gone so I haven't contacted my local LDS cannery yet, tomorrows project.
Still looking for a can sealer to purchase ( the large ones for the #10 cans). Been watching E-bay.
