Plus it's a terrible place to leak. Did I say buy Simms? Lol. This is definitely a piece of gear that if you do not buy nice you will definitely buy twice, thrice, etc. I know. I've had cheap, mid level, and now Simms.

if it's a slow morning just wander over to your chosen spot, drop your waders, take care of business and birds will fly over while you are in the middle of doing whatever it is you are doing. 99% guaranteed!

Ya bass pro has a set for women that have a zipper on the top half but I wouldn't want it to break wile I'm standing the freezing water.

Those are still out there..but agree, would be nice. Never like the idea of having something that could fail so close to the water..

I had a budd this past weekend break out a new pair of Simms with those fancy zippers..appears they worked well for him.

A few years ago both Cabelas and Bass Pro offered chest waders with a zipper. I really wanted a pair but had just picked up a pair of standard waders at Sportsmans. Can't imagion anything more convienant then not haveint to take off all theat bulky gear , etc when you needed to go. I don't see them anymore, must have had issues, perhaps leaks, who knows. Maybe to many reminded they forgot to zip up and then went wading. Bud

Guess you need to ask what type of hunting/fishing you are doing. I have a pair of breathables for fishing and pair of breathable for hunting and a pair of neoprene for hunting. Ive got a set of cabelas for fishing, lacross breathables for hunting and drake neoprenes now for hunting. I've had wonderful customer service with cabelas and drake. They usually return there stuff with little to no questions asked and wont break the bank.

Don't worry about cammo waders. A cammo top layer, some natural foliage to breakup your outline, and not moving is usually enough to coax them into the decoys.

If you are doing any walking or hunting when it is at all warm out, I would suggest not getting neoprene waders. Get boot-foot breathables with a well insulated boot, and then layer something breathable like fleece pant underneath. If you are never walking, and only standing around late-season in cold weather, then consider neoprene.

Haha ya Simms are pretty pricy but I am looking for something for just hunting I'm leaving in march sadly. Looks like I'm goin to either Missouri Montana or Wyoming so looking for that around 3 to 5 mm think. Wish Simms came in cammo pattern.

I'm a big fan of both Simms and Redington. I own a few of each brand and have been very happy. My Redington Sonic Pro waders got more use this year, just because the fit is a bit better. Had one issue with a pair of Redington's that were about a year old and the company had a replacement sent to me by the end of the week. Great service! My favorite Simms that I currently own are a couple pair of their boot-foot waders with the muck boot built in. Absolutely LOVE them! Great for colder occasions when the feet need a little more insulation. I also love the easy in and out without having to mess with wading boots. Can't go wrong with either company for quality, just find what fits you best.

Agreed. I've had two pairs of Simms waders for over six years and they are still in great shape after many fishing and hunting trips. They hold up to crawling 50 yards through all kinds of muck and brush after those Canada that love to land just out of range, they hold up to tramping through brush on bear and deer hunts and they are the most comfortable waders I have ever had. I'd love to buy a new pair but these will just not wear out. Instead of buying over priced "wading boots" I've also found that buying a good pair of sythetic hiking boots about two sizes too big works best. I'll never forget the hike we did in Cold Bay to and from the blinds. I was wearing neopreme waders and I about died. I guess they are fine for sitting in a blind but if you plan to walk around at all then breathable are the way to go. As is true with many other purchases spending more often means spending less in the long run....

Hahaha well I think you could have said it a couple more times. I haven't really heard about them but I will look into them. Iv been looking at lacrosse and drake my wife works at bass pro so I might get the red head ones but I'm not to worried about price since I have all year to save up.

The only reason your not "worried" about the cost of a pair of Simms is you haven't checked yet. Yikes!! Use your Bass Pro connection for those, if you can.

Are you still growing? If you are done growing then save for a pair of Simms and you'll never regret it. They will last a long, long time and can be easily shipped back for repairs. Otherwise just buy whatever you think will get you to the point of buying a pair of Simms. Did I say buy a pair of Simms? Lol

So with my old waders pretty much done I'm out looking for a new pair and I can tell you that their is a lot to choose from haha. What's everyone else got any dream pair that you have had your eye on. Looking for some in sight to help narrow the choices down.
