Got my boat done and named (Wing Reaper), got a good pup up and coming that is shaping up to be a great little dog (34lbs at 8months old named kimber) I have two waterfowl trips planned and deposits paid (Rhode Island eiders and Missouri snow geese) I still need to put together my new layout and build something to keep me out of the water on it. I'm thinking plywood and blue board. Decoys are looking good shotgun is cleaned and ready to go. Got a case of shells and a new duck call coming up from my cousin that makes my calls for me. It's shaping up to be a great season.

Man, I wish I was up there with you guys, I'd much rather be shooting limits of alaska brown ducks than zero full color ducks in MD. Hunting here stinks unless you own land. Some people call it sky busting... I call it optimism

Opening day is on Labor Day this year, keep waiting for it to time out on weekends and open on weekdays where there are a few less people for the opening. I lov opening day and duck hunting, but i hate summer ending in Alaska. Summers can be great and winters can be long. Hope my new boat is finished for the opening or I will have problems. BudWasilla

Maybe I can get lucky and get that elusive King eider!

62...bought 18 more widgeon yesterday..great sale price at Cabelas. Messing with EBADs during the week, camo job, just bought Justins little Layout boat, so now I can pull more decoys..have a more comfortable place for a buddy to hunt with, and a backup boat. Its all coming together nicely.
