    Glad to help

Hope you have good luck. I started taking my three year old son on short trapping outings, what fun!!! Great way to get the outdoors in their blood.

    Fort Green

Went in there today and was introduced to the basement. He got me set up with a dozen #2's and some standoff wire. Now all we need is for this hurricane style wind to let up and a few free days to go find some good places to set....

Bob Green has alot of snares and traps that he sells. It is located on palmer wasilla hwy. it is in a log cabin, you are going to have to mention you want traps and then he will take you down stairs to his trap haven. good luck to your little girl. I take my little girls hunting and trapping with me, I love it.

I'll have to stop in there tomorrow Mik, thanks for the info. I've only been in the upper part of his shop.

Akmud, run into Boondocks in ER.They have about 3 doz. fox snares left as of yesterday. They also had 1 spool of #11 tie wire.Pick that up also,it's perfect for supporting the snare. If Boondocks sells out before you get there,pm me and I have a extra doz I will sell you.Sportsmans whse is a joke along with MT View Sports as for as trapping supplies.

    started a topic snaring supplies

    snaring supplies

Are there any shops in the Valley that sell snares/supplies? My oldest daughter (9yo) was reading some of the fox snaring threads and expressed an interest in a trapline. We have a great trail system nearby which would be easy to check after work so I am thinking about laying out a few (6-10) snares to give it a whirl with her. I haven't run a trap line since back in the '80s so I am going to have to re-learn a few things!

What shops are local with decent supplies (if any)?
