  • Suggested Bird Taxidermist

I wanted to get a couple of these latest ptarmigan mounted. Any suggestions for quality bird Taxidermists?
    Thanks

Mark Oslund of Real Life Taxidermy is the best hands down. His work is displayed at Mountain View Sports. Although they display mostly his fish in the store.....those are his bread and butter, his real passion is mounting birds. Mark has won awards for his bird mounts nationally. Good luck.

I just moved to Palmer and am a exceptional bird taxidermist. I am currently in the process of obtaining all my licensing requirements and will be opening shop in about a month. Feel free to shoot me a PM for additional...

He needs to be your son's summer coach too.

My boy plays for Ed too, or least he shows up every week anyway.

                      Ed's Bird Taxidermy

Well, other than getting stuck in his driveway, I was pleased with my visit to Ed Forstner. I decided to let him do the birds. Prices were in the ball park with others I checked.
He is a nice guy. He doesn't have much for shop display like some taxidermists, but I saw some nice work.

I did find out from other taxidermists that they send their work out to him when they get it from you. They charge more than going directly to him.

The final proof will be when I see the product...time will tell.

I was wondering what does it cost to have a few birds done, I kind of thought about it as a gift for my grandfather to go with his sheep from when he lived up here but haven't really looked into it very much. Could you tell me what he charges

                        Thanks

                          We do birds too!

We do not send our work out, everything is done in-house. Pics and prices on our website!
