Dec 1st on the steese is the worst combat hunting I've ever seen in Alaska...Real bummer!! Since I live in Fairbanks and refuse to do that hunt again...I had 2 different hunting parties shoot over me at Bou I was stalking ..Close enough that I heard the bullets wizzz over my head!! So beware if you go..Go early to beat the crowds.

Im looking for some information on some Steese Hwy. Caribou before I drive from Ft. Rich. Any information on a December hunt would be very helpful, I.E. Places to stop, Caribou herd info, and anything else that could help me. Thanks!
