Curious if any one has been out the last few days and if they have seen any Nelchina caribou. I am dabating Hicks creek, cole creek, suide lakes or back to Eureeka. Has anyone been on the Denali highway the last week or so and if have they seen caribou? Any help appreciated. Thanks Viktor

Most of the Nelchina caribou circa 2006 are now dead. Sorry Viktor.

Is a herd of 38,000 animals so hard to find there needs to be 8 threads about them?We do not go to the green woods and crystal waters to rough it, we go to smooth it. We get it rough enough at home; in towns and cities; in shops, offices, stores, banks anywhere that we may be placed
