  • Need Map

I am planning a caribou hunt on Haul rd this year. I haven't been able to find any good topo maps of the area. Could someone please point me in the right direction for a good map? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

      Adf&g

On the state ADF&G site they now have a map maker type capability. You might try that to get the exact area and scale you are looking for.

Go to this website http://www.mytopo.com/ There you will be able to customize your own topo. No need to buy 4 different quads you can center your hunt all on one map. Set it up with either Lat Longs or UTMs or both. Great tool for hunters.

If you live in Anchorage go to APU maps store. They are cheap and good maps. Or just down load one from the computer.

              Thanks

Thanks all. I appreciate the help and am looking forward to my first caribou hunt. One of the guys I work with pointed me to UAF for maps also.
