What a season it's been

Being in my eight season of life and no longer able to hunt, I have so enjoyed reading all the great hunting stories that have been printed.

I envied all of you but was able to reflect on all my past Sheep, moose, Bear and caribou hunts.

Thank you all for taking the time to document your experience with lots of pictures.

Just back from my last trip of the season. It was a joy to spend time in the field with family and friends and feel both blessed and a better man for it. Wishing all a safe and prosperous season.

Roland you might be surprised what you still can do! I met Forum member "Phil"on here a few years back and we have a moose hunt set for Newfoundland next Oct and he is 79! Heck, I am 58 and Phil may be able to out walk me! I have found as I age I have to compromise more and more. Instead of pushing it all day I find I am sitting and watching for game to pass instead of seeking them out - but that's OK as I am still outdoors! I put a button buck whitetail in the cooler this morning - it was a stellar day for sure! Had to use a crossbow with a handicap permit as I can't handle a regular bow any longer but it is still exciting for me!
