Well, finances forced me to cancel my hunt this fall, so here I sit at the computer again...
I know in the past, some members have posted situations where they made mistakes in the field that resulted in a citation from the Troopers (not a citation for meritorious service, either; the other kind). I recall one a few years back where a friend of mine was cited for wanton waste because he killed a goat late in the day, gutted it and left it to cool on the rocks. His partner fell off the mountain and broke his leg. My friend ended up escorting him to the hospital and was later cited for not retrieving his goat (he returned to the mountain and it was gone, presumably carted off by a bear). At any rate, without getting into a bunch of war stories here, I thought it might be beneficial to start a thread to post names and contact info of attorneys our members may have used for situations like this.
I fully support our game laws, and the work our law enforcement folks do, but I also realize that there are times when you have to obtain legal assistance. That's what this thread is for.
How about it, guys? Any referrals out there?
