  • The First Trophy in our house

...............all the rest of our kills were sold!!
So I cleaned the skull from the kids Bison. Rotted the meat off in warm water. Sprayed it down with the garden hose. Little mechanical brushing. Popped the horns off the core and soaked them in soapy water. Came out real good. Didn't bleach it. Prefer the natural bone color. I did polish and oil the horns as well as a little black paint around the base area. Only stuff I purchased was a tote and an aquarium heater...........around 50 bucks.
I just hope the screw it is hung on HOLDS!!!

Very nice! A great way to enjoy the memory without sinking a lot of money into it.

Hope the screw holds too. Just last week a guy was telling me a caribou head fell off the wall at his brother in laws house. Great bison.

the mount looks really nice. I really like the contrast of the skull and horns.

How ow big was the bison? Doesn't look nearly as big as I thought they'd be.

I cant ant wait to see them out here. Only a few more months.
