  • trail cam recommendtions sought

I'm interested in trying some trail cams on our remote property. Wow! There's alot out there. I'm not looking to spend a bunch. Is there any that are 'Alaska Worthy'? I'd love ease of use. Waterproof would be a bonus- but not sure that they exist. Something that would last for a period of time while I'm gone would be preferred. What are you buys using??

I looked and looked ,Then I found these 73ft Long Range upgraded ScoutGuard SG550VB-31. I bought 5 very impressed with them I bought a cuddleback for $200 + I took it back these in my opinion the Scoutguard are better easy to set up and for $50 you can not go wrong they are normally $125

My baiting buddy and I both have Bushnell's, the 5MP if I'm not mistaken, they are reasonably priced (135 or so?) and easy to set up. They seem to work great to me AND they make a metal lock box for them which was real important to me to keep bears and 2 legged predators at bay.

I'd suggest what NOT to buy...Leupold trail camera model - RCX-2..........Had nothing but grief....

I bought 2, sent back to factory for repair a couple of times. They sent me new ones in the package, sold them unopened.

I've got Moultrie and Reconyx now.....
