Ya I've got a Mathews monster XLR8, big dual cams. She's cherry though and I love her! I've been thinking about a backup bow actually, just haven't brought myself to spend the money yet...I have an excellent bow shop here and was hoping there was more than the big box stores there that tune. Or at least have an idea what they are talking about besides brand names.

In that case, if your coming up here to bow hunt, and for example, your thinking of hunting the Haul Rd (Dalton) then you'll want to bring a second bow, especially if you anticipate something might go wrong. There are no bow shops up there, and once you get out in the vast Alaska wilderness you could be Hundreds of miles from nearest archery shop. What area are you planning on bow hunting? I always hunt with a solocam bow, preferably Mathews.....Never needed tuning since I have them, had new strings replaced thats about it. everything else from adjustments to limbs and sights .... everything else can be done at home if you have a press or know someone that does.
Many dual cams do need adjustments and maybe re-adjustments once strings are broken in. ...Are you in Kansas? Used to live in Wichita, Lots of shops there.Leave a comment:
