      Good looking bears - congratulations.
What did they square - kind of hard to get an idea of size - you guys are sitting so far into the background, almost needed a magnifying glass to see you.

            Akchallenge,
In that first pic, isn't the hunter in the middle the fellow from the NRA magazine? John Zent, I think? He usually hunts with a Kimber.
Any rifle/bullet data available? Thanks and congrats on two good looking bears.

hello, yes you are correct,it is john zent,he was trying out a new sako but had ring mount problems half way thru the hunt, missed a 9.5 bear 3rd day,3 shoots checked zero off paper at 100 yards, used another hunters christians arms 375 h&h shooting aframes no problems bear went 30 years, one of the shots went from front of middle of chest exited right hind end, bear humped up in the middle for 5-8 secs before he even moved after first shot,, both bears hunts will be on the sportmans network in oct

Everyone has their favorite critter to hunt. Mine is probably moose since I used to take my wife and kids and the wall tent and had lots of fun, a good and comfortable camp and lots of good meat in the freezer. But Brown Bear, are a different story. Them and a true mountain grizzly to me are in a class by themselves. Hunted fair chase and killed properly is an achievement to be proud of. They are what makes Alaska different from the rest of America. They are an awesome animal and just knowing they are around makes one more alert. I enjoyed the story and pics. Please keep us posted about the time of the showing. Well done for sure!
