We spent the rest of the day looking for a suitable bruin, but our luck was used up (we saw just one other bear which was let go for future harvesting).
After skinning out the skull, we squared the fella to nine feet...9'4" claw to claw and 8'8" nose to tail!
The local ADFG biologist green scored his skull at 25 7/16...
needless to say the good hunting buddy is now known as the great hunting buddy!!!!
