    Congratulations

Congratulations. Any hunt you survive to hunt another day is a good hunt.
Looks like the bugs were no problem either.

Well the temp ranged from -30 to 10 above, i did get some frostbite on my hand with day three being the coldest. We hunted hard trying to get on something from the moment we stopped.

On day two we hiked for miles and miles up the sides of mountains, across frozen rivers, through snow drifts,...they were to skiddish, and few and far between. It's just not a good time of year for this hunt.

On the third day got set up in a decent ambush spot, there we are...waiting...waiting...hands starting to hurt...still no caribou...toes hurting...still nothing...now i cant feel or move my fingers, I think to myself the heck with it im going to the truck...just then carribou walk around the corner...cow,cow,antlerless bulls X 5, decent bull...cant move there to close about 3 feet from the broadhead, starting to surround us while eating, they catch wind and bolt. 3 hours gone now, VERY important when theres only 5 hours of light(again not the optimal time of year for this hunt).

Next day set up in different spot, I can see the truck from where i'm sitting, I get situated...look at a few rocks to try and get a feel for the yardage...holy s*^! there they are, already. cow, cow, cow, cow, BULL, Draw back...umm...30 yard pin looks perfect, let er fly, smack!, its a good hit, he turns and runs strait at me, I try to knock another arrow while he is 5 yards away, he catches the movement, runs off about 50 yards, I Draw again, he is facing directly away, I have no shot, so I let off and watch as he takes a couple more leaps, He looks around then hits the snow dead. My heart is pounding, I'm breathing hard, here is the adrenaline rush ive been waiting for. I thank god and begin the work. All this in a matter of about 2 minutes.

Hope you saw yourself sitting there while you read this. Good day
