I found this set of plans that are very well done and am in the process of making two. I am building a 48" for my 6 yo daughter that I am hoping to get down to 15-20# for her, and a 72" for me that will probably come in around 40-50#.
After just one day of working on them, I have the backing for the small bow drying and my bow is ready to be backed. I'll try to take some photos before long to see if I am screwing anything up!
I also built a tillering post like what the author has in his plans. This has really struck and interest for me (just what I need is another hobby!), so hopefully I will be able to make a shootable bow before long!
