Bowtech General Recall

If you have a 2007-8 Bowtech General, you'll want to read this announcement concerning a recall. Apparently the limbs are prone to breaking on Generals without a collet - see the announcement for details on what that looks like and for info on how to get a free repair.

I'll let a friend know who shoots one. I'll bet the Mathews and Hoyt shooters are going nuts over this one.

Every product has recalls at one time or another - Hoyt and Matthews included. Bowtech still makes a great product.

Recall

This recall has been out since last july/ early august. I was one of the unfortunates who's limbs blew 8 days before a goat hunt in which the recall came out 2 days later. However if you have a General that was manufactured after June 08 they should have the new limbs on them already if in doubt google it and you should find an image of the new ones.

Oh and even though my general blew a limb it still shot better than a hoyt or matthews with 2 good limbs:eek:
