    Hello;

    While I'm not new to this site, I have recently upgraded my membership to sponsor of the archery forum. Since 2009 I've done countless mounts for fellow forum members on here, Alaskans, and people from the lower 48.
    I'm not going to write a big Bio as most folks know me, only thing that's changed is last June I went full time with my taxidermy business and moved from Palmer to Wasilla.
    I'm open Monday thru Friday 8-6. Weekends are by appointment.
    I do everything from small game, rugs, big game, upland birds and fish. I have a 3500 SF shop with 16' ceilings attached to our house. Room for a mount of any size will never be an issue. I can import and export just about every animal to any country or state where it's legal.

    I'm also an authorized fur bearer and bear sealer for ADFG. Over the years I've posted pictures of my work in the skull trophy gallery, my photos can be viewed their or by clicking on my signature at the bottom of the post, banner at the top of the page will also take you to my business page. I'll periodically post pictures in this thread.

    Thank you,

    Jesse

      Black bear

      Big black bear shoulder mount. Cost effective. Take up considerable less wall space and look pretty sweet.

                Axis deer

                Axis deer wall pedestal mount.

                Deer was taken in Hawaii by a guy on vacation. Who wouldn't want to go hunting while the Mrs and kids play at the beach.

                    Howdy Jesse,

                    You recently mounted up a deer and goat for me and I couldn't be happier with the finished product. I took this bear last weekend and was wondering if you think the hide is to rubbed for tanning? Thanks in advance!

                    I think about hunting when I wake up in the morning. I think about it all day. And I think about it at night. The only time I don't think about it is when I'm doing it. ~credit to Carl Yastrzemski~

                      It's not so much the fur being rubbed, it's how THIN the skin is. As the season gets later, days longer and Warmer their skin gets super thin. Will it still tan? Yes. Will the leather side be all nice and pretty? No. You'll see the end of the hair roots in some places. Make a great shoulder mount or a throw. It up to you.

                          No problem, if I get it by the end of the week it will go to the tannery Monday. FYI, Your marmot is already salted and is going to tan Monday as well
