    I hope this helps any of you that are charters that are interested. NOAA has exceeded their bounds on telling who can and cannot fish.

    NOAA Law Enforcement to hold public meetings on 2011 charter halibut regulations

    Juneau, AK Fishing season is upon us! Do you have questions about the 2011 charter halibut management measures or other fishing regulations?
    Officers from NOAA's Office of Law Enforcement will hold public outreach meetings in several Southeast Alaska communities next month to discuss 2011 charter halibut fishing regulations and answer any questions from concerned parties.
    Meetings will be held as follows:
    May 3, 5-7 p.m.
    Yakutat High School Auditorium
    May 12, 12:30- 2:30 p.m.
    Hoonah City Hall
    Elfin Cove
    May 16, 12:30-2:30 p.m.
    Community Meeting Room above the Post Office
    May 16, 4:30-6:30 p.m.
    City Hall Meeting Room
    May 17, 4:30-6:30 p.m.
    Gustavus Library
    May 19, 2-4 p.m.
    Mendenhall Valley Library
    May 23, 5:30-7:30 p.m.
    Haines Municipal Chambers
    May 25, 5:30-7:30 p.m.
    Skagway Municipal Chambers
    NOAA Fisheries Enforcement will respond to questions from the public regarding charter, commercial, subsistence and recreational halibut fishing regulations, collection of marine mammal hard parts and marine mammal viewing regulations. Copies of the 2011 International Pacific Halibut Commission regulations will be available at the meetings.
