Hi Eric,
I like living here. Last summer I built a garage/shop next to the house to store my boat during the winter.
After making the decision to move to Alaska. I thought about moving to Ketchikan or being near Bob in Klawock on POW. I also made the decision that I did not want to live on an island. I did not like the idea of having to take the ferry or fly to leave the island.
I settled on the Homer area and found this property in Anchor Point that fit my needs.

Don't forget the notation "bears at low water". I always wonder where they go at high tide?

Ken, check out US Chart 1. It has every symbol & abbreviation used on NOAA charts. I believe you can download a copy for free on the NOAA website.

I took these abbreviations off my charts from Homer to Gore Point and out to the Barren Islands. I know what some stand for but there are several I do not know.
I made this list of all I could find.
If you know others please list them.
I made this as a MS Word Document hoping to be able to attach the file so others could just open and add info. Can this be done?
