FYI-ADF&G at Raspberry has the 2011 PWS Shrimp Permits now.

Do I really have to go all the way to Anchortown to get one of these? Can I do it over the internet, or maybe an app on my iphone? Anything?

This is my first year to shrimp, and the web says available in Anchortown and someother far off land. Trying to get off the Peninsula on a week day is hard for us working folk.

      Permits

I think you might be able to get one at the fish and game booth at the sportsmans show.

Make sure you bring your fishing license with ya or they won't give you a permit.

Palmer issues them. I got mine there last year also.
As Steve stated, bring your fishing license....

Excellent info steve and bkmail, thanx! I'm gonna swing in and grab mine too. I might as well get a subsistence permit while I'm there...

No you don't have to go to Anchorage. The ADF&G office in Soldotna has them. Thats where I got mine last year. As others have said just be sure to bring your fishing license.

In the past I have always just gotten my shrimp permit in a tackle store in Valdez, are they going to limit them to ADF&G locations now, that's a long way from where I will be!
